Geraldine Champion

Geraldine Champion passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023. She was born on July 3, 1939, in Jefferson, Texas to Travis and Nadine Breazeale.  Geraldine was an exceptional individual who filled the lives of those around her with boundless love and warmth.

Throughout her life, Geraldine took great pleasure in the simple joys that family and home brought her. She dedicated herself to creating a warm and inviting environment for her loved ones as a homemaker. Geraldine found immense joy in spending time with her family, whether it was tending to her beautiful garden, cooking in the kitchen, or simply engaging in conversations, every moment spent together was treasured by all. 

She is survived by two grandchildren, David Duke Sr. (Tennille) and Andrew Champion (Cherish Williams). Two great-grandchildren, David Duke Jr., and Justice Duke.

Geraldine is now reunited with her beloved husband James A. Champion, who preceded her in death; parents; son, Gary Lee Champion, daughter LaJuan Champion; and her brothers, Kenneth Breazeale and Carol Wayne Breazeale. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

A graveside service will be held on November 29, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Ore City Cemetery.
