Gerald Roger King

Memorial services for Gerald Roger King, 76, of Bullard will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Southpoint Church of God in Tyler with Reverend Trent Taylor officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. King passed Friday, February 28, 2014 in a Temple hospital. Mr. King was born June 26, 1937, in Manning, LA to Roy and Mavis Lavern Roger King. He was a retired truck driver, veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Church of God. Mr. King is survived by his son, Roger Ray King of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Kelli Rae Tyler of Bullard; step-son, Anthony Beam of Tyler; step-daughters, Tammy Hanks of Tyler and Vicki Hanks of Tyler; brother, James Nelson of California; sisters, Barbara Schofield of Hawkins and Frances Slaughter of Manning, LA; grandchildren, Austin Taylor and Jaxon Taylor; nieces, Cheryl Evans of Hawkins and Cindy Caldwell of Pine Mills; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Ray King and Purvis King; sister, Catherine Snow. There is no scheduled visitation.
