GILMER " Graveside services for Gerald David Howard, 75, of Holly Lake Ranch will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Little Mound Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas. Mr. Howard passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014, in Tyler. He was born on March 20, 1939, in Sainger, Texas to Dumas Howard and Kate Davis Howard. Mr. Howard lived in Upshur County area for 20 years and was employed as a Mechanic for International Harvester and later became self-employed until his retirement. He is survived by his son, Bobby Howard of Hawkins; daughter and son-in-law, Cissy and Paul Johnson of Hawkins; brothers, Jack Howard of Denton, Jaime Howard of Lewisville and Tommy Howard of Farmersville; sisters Linda Howard of Newsome, TX and Barbara Bengston of Gainesville, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Duncan and her husband, Tommy and their children, Landon, Ashlee and Jadyn of Gladewater, Natalie McGee and child, Peyton of Benbrook, TX. Mr. Howard was preceded in death his wife, Martha Howard; parents; and brother, Billy Paul Howard. The family requests no visitation to be held.
