George Wesley Bickerdike

Services for Mr. George Bickerdike, 86, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Peace Fellowship in Diana, Texas with Bro. Ross Worley officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Mr. Bickerdike was born on November 22, 1930 in Troup, Texas to George Bryan Bickerdike and Della Graham Bickerdike. He served in the U. S. Army and worked as a plasterer at Cooper Plastering before his retirement.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Cindy Bickerdike of Diana; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Danny Morvan of Diana; brother, Barney Lee of Gilmer; grandchildren, Amanda Lancaster and husband, Jesse, Brent Bickerdike, Eric Hippler and wife Sarah, Heather Dotson and husband, Bud, Kayli Morvan, Eric Morvan and wife, Jennifer and Jennifer Morvan; great grandchildren; Addy Dotson, Colten Killingsworth, Lawson Hippler, Ashlynn Dotson, Ryder Dotson, Beaux Dotson, Paige Hippler, Judson Hippler and Liam Morvan.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Ruby Bickerdike; brother, Tom Bickerdike; sisters, Mildred Wilson, Alice Letsinger, Eve Sapp, Lois Fenton and Edith Idell and grandson, Bryan Bickerdike.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
