George Patrick Gant

Graveside services for George Patrick Gant, 71, of Hawkins will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 1:15PM. Mr. Gant passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in Tyler, TX.

Mr. Gant was born March 6, 1950 in Waco, Texas to the late George Washington Gant Jr. and Lucy Ann Williams. George served his country as a Seabee (Construction Battalion) in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam Conflict where he was deployed to South Viet Nam and Diego Garcia for two years. George worked in the construction industry his entire career including a stint as a Building Inspector for the City of Midland and High School Construction and Wood Shop teacher in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He retired to his ranch in Hawkins, TX in 2011. He will be dearly missed by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

George is survived by his brother, Paul Gant and wife Tatjana; nephews Garret and Galen Gant, sisters, Susan Kyzer, and Margaret Gant; niece, MaryAnne Erhardt, grandnieces Kara Burns and Brianna Connors, and great grandnephews Bruer Connors and Win Burns.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucy Gant.
