George Lloyd

Services for George W. Lloyd, 65, of Gladewater, will be held at Cross Brand Cowboy Church, Tyler, on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Gladewater. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. George was born February 5, 1947, in Longview, to Russell William Lloyd and Elsie Maxine Lloyd. He passed away December 19, 2012 in Tyler. He was a member of the Cross Brand Cowboy Church where he was actively involved. George had a passion for his family, life, fishing, and horses. He was a former owner operator in the livestock hauling business, as well as the oil field construction business for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife Marilyn Sue Lloyd. His survivors include two sons, Justin Lloyd and wife Teresa of Okeene, OK and Randy Lloyd and wife Brittany of Blackwell, TX; two brothers, Don and wife Sue of Dickinson, TX, Jerry and wife Evelyn of Gladewater; two sisters, Diane and husband Terry of Lake Placid, FL and Sandra Lloyd of Gladewater; one grandson, Quay Lloyd of Blackwell; and two step-grandchildren , CJ Barnhill and J.R. Barnhill of Okeene, OK, along with many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. If so desired, donations can be made to Cross Brand Cowboy Church Building Fund, 11915 FM 2015, Tyler, TX 75708.
