George Jefferies

Services for George Jefferies, 89, of Bedford, will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at 2 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. David Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Born on October 17, 1924, in Westbrook, Texas, to George and Tula Jefferies, he died on Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was retired from Southwestern Generaal Life, where he worked as vice president and corporate secretary. George is survived by his wife of 69 years, Deloris Jefferies; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Roy W. Plumlee and Bonnie and Wayne Graham; five grandchildren, Rebecca Schumacher, Roy E. Plumlee, Christina Berryhill, Dan Graham, and Sarah Brockhouse; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. No visitation is scheduled.
