Services for Geneva Preston, 76, of Gilmer, Texas will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Pine Acres Baptist Church in Gilmer with Brother Kenneth Montgomery officiating. Interment will be at Cherokee Cemetery in Gilmer. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home. Geneva Passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014. Geneva was born may 7, 1937, in Wynne AR, to Emmett and Lottye Jones. She was a Baptist and a member of the Pine Acres Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge # 108. Mrs. Preston is preceded in death by her husband; James E. Preston Sr.; brother: David Lee Jones and sister Anita Murrell. She is survived by her sons and daughter in law: Ralph and Rebecca Grantham, Robert and Gay Grantham, Kenneth and Donna Grantham; daughters and sons in law: Judy and Joe Yocom, Barabara and Jerry Phelps, Becky and Daniel Young; sisters: Camilla Boehmer and husband Linus, Glenda Rook and husband Danny. 29 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews The visitation is set prior to service at Pine Acres Baptist Church in Gilmer from 1:00-2:00 pm.
