Funeral services for Gene “Ted” Dickey, 73, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 9, 2017, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas with Bro. Donny Chamberlain officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Upshur County.

Mr. Dickey passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 and was born on August 2, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona to Clarence and Alice Dickey. He was a construction superintendent for Transet and was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Dickey is survived by his loving wife, Linda Dickey; son, Darren Dickey of Yucca Valley, California; daughter, Brenda Delcambre of Houston, Texas; brother, Jim Dickey and wife, Joan of Bullhead City, Arizona; niece, Patti Drinville and husband, Jim of Rancho Mirage, California; nephew, Troy Dickey and wife, Deanna of Riverside, California; aunt, Ginny Ramos and husband Luis of Lincoln, California; grandchildren, Matt Jones and wife Lauren, Alyse Delcambre, Alfred “Ted” Delcambre, Christianne Delcambre and Kelsie Walling and husband Patrick; great grandchildren, Hunter Eitel, Brentley Jones, Owen Jones, Alice Walling, Jayden Carroll and numerous cousin.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
