Gary Nolen

Funeral Mass for Gary Nolen, 69, of Gilmer will be Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Gilmer with Reverend Mark Dunne officiating. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home with visitation following. Mr. Nolen passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 in Dallas.

Mr. Nolen was born March 20, 1949 in Rotan, Texas to the late George Nolen and Evelyn Cooper Nolen Swinney. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of Vietnam War, he was also a Purple Heart recipient. Mr. Nolen was retired from the U.S. Postal service after serving as a maintenance supervisor and most recently he worked at Brookshires in Gilmer. Gary will be remembered by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

He is survived by his wife Stacey Fowler Nolen of Gilmer; mother and step father Evelyn and Ken Swinney of Hobbs, NM; sons David Scott Nolen of Anchorage, AK and Condy Ernest Nolen, II of Gilmer, daughters Ashley Norwood and husband Jimmy of Pampa, TX and Benri Nolen of Gilmer; brother Kenneth Nolen and wife Edisa of Hobbs, NM; sister Pamela Woodard of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren Jordan Nolen, Chelsea Loosli, Hailee Beaty and husband Kacy and Emilie Loosli as well as many other loving family and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his father George Nolen and a brother Randy Nolen.
