Gary Dean Powell, Sr.

Gary Dean Powell, Sr. 77, of Diana, Texas passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Longview, Texas. Services will be held, 10 AM, Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana and a public memorial service will be held at a later date. Reverend Sam Martin and Reverend Brian Zappa will be officiating with. Arrangements are under the directions of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral home in Diana.

Gary was born December 15, 1942 in Diana, Texas to William Henry and Rachel Cleo (Strong) Powell. Gary was a millwright at Lone Star Steel. He loved spending time with his wife and children and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Marie Ross Powell, son, Gary Dean Powell, Jr., daughters; Janis Marie Powell, Karin DeAnn Powell, brother, Kenneth Powell and wife Patricia, grandchildren; Brandi Posey, Meagan Wallace, Matthew Boyd, Kaitlin Windham, Kristin Windham, Brooke Windham, Bailey Windham, Katrina Bilbrey, and Tracee Powell and twenty four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug Powell
