Frank passed away June 12 after a brief illness in a Tyler hospital. He was born October 6, 1939, in Jefferson to William Wyatt and Katie Coppedge Breazeale. He was raised in Ore City and graduated from Gilmer High School. Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy and married his high school sweetheart Annette Mullican. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and was a distinguished graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at SMU. He enjoyed a long and successful career in banking, both locally and statewide. He retired as the CEO of the First National Bank of Gilmer and served as the Chairman of the Board for First Gilmer Bankshares.
Frank’s life was a testimony to his love and commitment to what he valued most: his faith, his family, and his community. He was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church and served in multiple leadership roles including teaching the New Beginnings Sunday school class for over twenty years. He had a passion for flying and enjoyed spending time sharing his love of the air with friends both young and old. Frank was deeply involved in his community and served on multiple boards and foundations. His greatest love, however, was spending time with his family. He lived a life of compassion and leaves a lasting impact on those he served and those he served with.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, W. W. Breazeale, Jr., and his sister Martha Kay Breazeale Parsley. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Annette Mullican Breazeale; sons Frank P. Breazeale III, Brigadier General John M. Breazeale and his Wife Karen; grandchildren Ryker Hall, Rhett Hall, Madison Breazeale, and Keanon Breazeale; brother Glenn Breazeale, in-laws Raye White and husband Kenneth, and Mack Mullican; cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
