Reverend Frank A. Casey DIANA �Reverend Frank Alphus Casey of Ore City, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2015. He was born June 23, 1924 in Picher, Oklahoma to Franklin Levi Henson Winfield Casey and Cora Madie (Lewis) Casey. Services for Reverend Casey will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Camp Joy Church of God in Ore City with Brother Les Higgins and Sister Wedena Oliver officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Ore City Cemetery. Frank married Dorothy (Capshaw) Casey who he had known from an early age. His father was a powder monkey and he lived mostly in eastern Oklahoma and went to school in Kiowa. He was bronc riding at an early age and trained many horses in the late 30�s until drafted into the Army Air Corp at the start of WWII where he served as a radio operator on a B-25 as part of the 7th Air Force with Bill Carl Petro. Frank and his crew arrived in Pearl Harbor a day after the bombing. He received the Purple Heart and several ribbons while in service in the Philippines, Australia and several other countries in Asia. Reverend Casey was a farmer by heart and a preacher by calling. After his service to his country, he worked for the WPA as a farmer. He received the calling for evangelism/preaching and moved around as needed. He worked many different jobs while taking different churches. While living in Dumas and Shamrock, Texas, he was a truck driver, truck stop manager, cook, and tire changer. After moving to Tumwater, Washington, he worked on a commercial farm while pastoring one of the largest churches in the area. He then moved to Arkansas and continued farming and preaching. He later took some time off from full time pastoring/evangelism to run his own security business in Paris, Texas. After moving to Ore City, he worked as a truck driver and at Daingerfield Roofing Mfg. During this time, he would continue to support local churches and evangelize from time to time. After retiring, he helped start the Camp Joy Church of God in Ore City. Reverend Casey was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his parents, and sisters: Dorothy, Mary, Ruby, Neomi and son Alphus Levi Casey. He is survived by his sister Rosey George, daughter and son-in-law: Sharon and Keith Crain, three grandchildren: Rebecca Crain, Brian Crain and wife Jennifer, and Sean Casey and wife Charlotte, great-grandchildren: Nadia Crain and Cyrus Crain, Matthew Casey and wife Anissa, Ashleigh (Casey) Padgett and husband Cameron, Bradley Casey, Jeffrey Casey and Zacherey Casey and great-great granddaughter: Isabella Casey. He has touched many hearts, performed several marriages and funerals. He will always be remembered for his straight talk, as a loving father, grandpa, great-grandpa (Paw) and a friend.
