Francis "Joe" Chambliss

Services for Francis Joseph Chambliss, 56, of Gladewater will be held at Clarksville City Baptist Church on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. with Brother Roger Gage officiating and interment to follow at Gladewater Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church beginning at 2:00 P.M. Joe passed on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Longview, Texas. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Joe was born to Francis Joseph Chambliss and Clarice Ruth Skelton Chambliss in Gladewater on November 7, 1958. He was a funeral director and lived in Gladewater most of his life. He married Kathy Gage in 2000 and was a member of Clarksville City Baptist Church. Mr. Chambliss is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Johnny DeVance of Henderson and Michael DeVance of Tennessee Colony, TX.; brother-in-law, Roger Gage and wife Bonnie of Longview; sisters-in-law, June Gage of Gladewater and Janice Gage of Longview; two aunts, Betty Chambliss of Dallas and Betty Lucas of White Oak. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark DeVance.
