Francis Eugene "Gene" Birdwell

Services for Francis E. "Gene" Birdwell, 66, will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Enterprise with Reverend Clint Johnson and Bro. Bryan Peck officiating . The family will receives friends from noon until the service time. Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Mt. Enterprise. "Gene" Birdwell was born on January 31, 1947, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Ernest E. and Frances Birdwell and passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013, in Gilmer. He graduated from Mt. Enterprise High School in 1965 and then attended Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Birdwell worked for Moore Business Forms in Nacogdoches, Texas for 16 years. He also worked in Florida and Oregon. On June 24, 1982 he married Marsha Ann Ridings. Mr. Birdwell is survived by his wife, Marsha; daughters and sons-in-law, Racheal & Bob Roberts and Shirley & Ernie Wilson; grandchildren, Eric and Catherine Wilson all of Gilmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rachel Birdwell. The pallbearers are John Ash, Roy Anderson, Roger Holt, Buddy Ontiveros, Donald Hays, Ted Martindale and Randy Nix. Honorary Pallbearer is Jimmy Hays.
