Frances McGuire

Mrs. Frances McGuire, age 79, of Ore City, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Frances was born in Ozark, Arkansas on January 12, 1940 to the late William Owen and Helen Idella (Meador) Dunford. She was a retired receptionist that worked in the construction industry. She was also the head of the Ladies Auxiliary for the South Shore Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Frances was a member of the Ore City Church of Christ and shared God’s love with everyone she met.
She is survived by sons, James Glenn McGuire and wife Lisa, Waymon Mathew McGuire and wife Mary, sister, Idell Aiken, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Robert Leon McGuire; son, Rondal Leon McGuire, brother, James Owen Dunford, sisters; Barbara Richardson and Janice Trussell.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 in the Ore City Church of Christ, with Bro. Johnny Coleman officiating; interment will follow at Ore City Cemetery in Ore City. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of Diana.
