Frances Hill Hymer

Funeral services for Frances Hill Hymer, 85, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, October, 4, 2013, at Rosewood Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Upshur County under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Hymer passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in Gilmer. She was born on July 9, 1928, in the Soules Chapel Community, Upshur County, Texas to Frank and Corine Fennell Hill. On December 22, 1946, she married Francis Hymer and lived in Upshur County all of her life. Mrs. Hymer was an administration assistant for Dean Lumber Company and a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Jim Hymer of Rosewood, Richard Hymer of Rosewood , Mike Hymer and his wife, Dana of Tyler; brothers, Charles and Max Hill both of Tyler; sister, Evelyn Detwiler of Tyler; four grandchildren, Robin Hymer, Steven Hymer, Meredith Scudder and Casey Hymer; five great grandchildren, Grayson Hymer, Blair Scudder, Knox Scudder, Jude Scudder, Jackson Hymer. Preceded in death by her husband, Francis Hymer; sisters, Edna Ruth Gibson and Lanell Henke. Pallbearers are Steven Hymer, Casey Hymer, Grayson Hymer, Christian Scudder, Mark Trim and Donnie Hymer. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2013, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
