Funeral services for Floyd Taylor "Bud" Hammonds, Sr. 82, of Hawkins will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins with Dr. Bill Holmes officiating. Interment will be in the Hawkins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Hammonds passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. Mr. Hammonds was born February 24, 1931 in Corsicana, TX to Claude and Sue C. Coffee Hammonds. He had worked in the oil industry as an Oil Field Tank Builder and had lived in Hawkins since the age of 11. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Floyd T. and Viki Hammonds, Jr. of Hawkins, Diane and Van Garner of Hawkins, Richard H. Hammonds of Hawkins, Carl Glenn and Tannja Hammonds of Hawkins, Nona and Daryl Cook of Hawkins and Eddie Wayne Hammonds and Vicky Himel of Big Sandy; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Hammonds, Eddie Hammonds, Carl Hammonds, Floyd Hammond, III, Marty Wayne Hammonds, Cameron Cook and C.J. Hammonds. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins.
