Feliciana Nino Rocha

Feliciana Niño Rocha of Gladewater passed away peacefully on June 7, 2017, in Longview, TX.
She was born on March 7, 1968, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Alicia, as she preferred to be called, was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a home maker most of her life, and the word that describes her best is Mama. More than anything, her children were her passion. She enjoyed cooking and feeding her kids her delicious food. She never shied away from being silly to make them laugh. Some of their best memories of her are her silly faces and sounds. Even during the toughest battles with her illness, she repeatedly fought through to keep cooking and cleaning and looking after her kids. She was the toughest person ever; and she never allowed her illness to control her. She endured so much to make sure her kids were taken care of. To quote her granddaughter, Abby, “grandma Niño is the best mom in the whole wide world. We love you, grandma.”
She married Jesus Niño on June 7, 1987, and they went on to have nine children. They made East Texas their home in 1994, and she grew to love the small town of Gladewater. Being home brought her so much peace and comfort. She enjoyed being outdoors and tending to her plants. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Longview, TX, and took pleasure in attending mass, especially in her later years when it became difficult.
She is preceded in death by her father, Juan Niño Rodriguez, and her brother Eliseo Niño Rocha.
She is survived by her husband, Jesus Niño; her children Roel and Victoria Niño, Elsa and Gustavo Waldo, Sandra Niño, Jesus Niño, Javier Niño, Juan Niño, Givran Niño, Robert Niño, and Maria Niño; her grandchildren Abigail Grace Niño and Abraham David Niño; her mother Macrina Rocha Niño; her brother David Niño Rocha; her sisters Teresa Niño Rocha, Consuelo Niño Rocha, Anita Niño Rocha, Maria Blanca Niño Rocha, Irma Niño Rocha, Macrina Niño Rocha, Maria de Jesus Niño Rocha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, TX on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at 5:30 PM. Visitation will follow from 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be on Monday, June 12, 2017, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. A rosary will be held at 10 AM with mass to follow. The burial will be at Gladewater Memorial Park after the mass.

Nació el 7 de marzo de 1968 en San Luis Potosí, México. Alicia, como ella prefería ser llamada, era una esposa, madre, y abuela maravillosa y cariñosa. Ella era ama de casa la mayor parte de su vida, y la palabra que la describe mejor es mamá. Más que nada, sus hijos eran su pasión. Le gustaba cocinar y alimentar a sus hijos con su deliciosa comida. Nunca se alejaba de ser chistosa para hacerlos reír. Algunos de sus mejores recuerdos son sus caras y sonidos chistosos. Incluso durante las batallas más duras con su enfermedad, ella luchó repetidamente a través para continuar cocinando y limpiando y cuidando de sus niños. Ella era la persona más fuerte de todos; y nunca permitió que su enfermedad la controlara. Ella soportó tanto para asegurarse de que sus hijos fueron atendidos. Para citar a su nieta, Abby, "mi wela es la mejor mamá en todo el mundo. Te amamos, Wela.”

Se casó con Jesús Niño el 7 de junio de 1987, y pasaron a tener nueve hijos. Ellos hicieron East Texas su hogar en 1994, y a ella le encantaba la pequeña ciudad de Gladewater. Estar en casa le traía tanta paz y consuelo. Le gustaba estar al aire libre y cuidar sus plantas. Ella era un miembro de la Iglesia Católica de San Mateo en Longview, TX, y tomó el placer de asistir a la misa, especialmente en sus últimos años cuando se hizo difícil.

Ella es precedida en muerte por su padre, Juan Niño Rodríguez, y su hermano Eliseo Niño Rocha.

Le sobreviven su marido, Jesús Niño; sus hijos Roel y Victoria Niño, Elsa y Gustavo Waldo, Sandra Niño, Jesús Niño, Javier Niño, Juan Niño, Givrán Niño, Robert Niño y María Niño; sus nietos Abigail Grace Niño y Abraham David Niño; su madre Macrina Rocha Niño; su hermano David Niño Rocha; sus hermanas Teresa Niño Rocha, Consuelo Niño Rocha, Anita Niño Rocha, María Blanca Niño Rocha, Irma Niño Rocha, Macrina Niño Rocha, María de Jesús Niño Rocha; y numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos.

Un rosario se llevará a cabo en la funeraria de Croley en Gladewater, TX el domingo, 11 de junio de 2017, a las 5:30 PM. La visita seguirá de 6 a 8 PM. El funeral será el lunes, 12 de junio de 2017, en la Iglesia Católica de San Mateo en Longview, TX. Un rosario se llevará a cabo a las 10 de la mañana con una misa a seguir. El entierro será en Gladewater Memorial Park después de la misa.
