Graveside services for Mrs. Evelyn Pyle, 83, of Ore City will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Pyle Prairie Cemetery in Kemp, Texas with Tom Hale officiating. Mrs. Pyle passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Austin.
She was born on July 24, 1930, in Coffeeville, Texas to Irvin and Alvie Lavender Keith. Mrs. Pyle was a secretary for the CWA, a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy and a member of the Coffeeville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ruthie Pyle of Gilmer and Daniel and Samran Pyle of Austin; sister, Josephine Jo Wall of Ore City; grandchildren, Lt. Col. (Ret) Erin and Jennifer Pyle of Williamsburg, Virginia; Melanie Apiwan Sun and Damond Sun of Manhattan Beach, CA., Evelyn Elizabeth and Dr. Thomas Tutt of Ft. Worth, Zachary and Sarah Pyle of Casa Grande, AZ, Malachi Pyle of Gilmer; great grandchildren, Dawn Marie Pyle, Summer and Sophia Sun, Derry, Davey and Lavender Tutt, and Cathal Pyle; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pyle was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Howard Pyle; parents and sister, Pat White.
