Evelyn Gallaway

Evelyn Gallaway, 70, of Big Sandy, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 27, 2023, in Longview, TX.  She was born on October 27, 1952, in Muenster, TX to the late Aubrey and Dorothy (Prowse) Jones Hunter.

Evelyn spent her professional career as an IT Analyst, until she retired.  She enjoyed watching movies, crocheting, and spending time with the most important people in her life, her family and kids, especially spending time with her grandbabies.  Evelyn attended the Pritchett Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Charles Gallaway and his wife, Heather of Waxahacie, TX; daughter, Amanda Flores of Midlothian, TX; grandchildren, Marissa Martinez and her husband, McKinsey Herrera and her husband, Jessica Huddle, Emily Campbell, Ryan Morgan, Abigail, Rome, Hunter, Savannah and Julian; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Eva and husband, Johnny Greer, Tina Slack, Roger and wife Christy Jones and her sister-in-law, Gayla Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Dorothy Jones, as well as her brother, Andrew Jones.
