Services for Mrs. Euna Lillian Crossland, 101, of Gilmer will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stracener officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the service time. Euna Lillian was born December 9, 1911, to John Owen and Vida Leora Rowton Prowse and died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, in Gilmer. She was born in Black Springs, Arkansas and on December 16, 1928, married Ira Calvin Crossland in Honey Grove, Texas. They were married for 66 years. Mrs. Crossland retired from the Talon Zipper Company and moved to the Gilmer area in 1984. Her faith and her family were the most important things in her life, Her many talents included gardening and all things crafts. She was honored with "Yard of the Month" on two separate occasions, and to the delight of her children and grandchildren she pieced and quilted them all the most beautiful quilts. Mrs. Crossland is survived by her sons, John and wife, Bernie of Gilmer, Roy of Arp, Dean and wife, Cleon of Gilmer, Jerry and wife, Betty of Lewisville, Joe and wife, Dawana of Gilmer, Mike and wife, Barbara of Wichita Falls; daughter, Pat Jordan and husband, Dennis of Carthage; she was also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Crossland was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Calvin Crossland and a daughter, Cleo Harris. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Kyle Jordan, Keith Crossland, James McKissick, Philip Crossland, Brandon Beddingfield and B. J. Roath. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Crossland, Matthew, Chase and Bryan Robertson, Jason Beddingfield and Tom Tyler. The family requests donations to be made to the charity of your choice.
