Eulalia Sturdivant Fielden died July 30, 2013, at Gilmer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Fielden was born January 23, 1921, near Bettie, the youngest child of John Frank and Addie Waller Sturdivant. She was a 1938 graduate of Union Hill High School, and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church for almost 80 years. She lived in Bettie most of her life. She was married first to Woodie Brown and then to Ted Fielden, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded by two brothers, Melvin and Nathan Sturdivant,; two sisters, Bertrice Brown and Naomi Lange and by all their spouses; her son-in-law George Kimbrough, and her grandson-in-law Brad Davis. Mrs. Fielden was active in many community and school activities, and especially enjoyed dancing and traveling. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Sandy and Alton Steelman, Kay and William "Red" H. Smith, and Judith Kimbrough; by her grandchildren and their spouses Amy Smith Tarrant and husband Lonnie, Susan Steelman Davis, John Paul Steelman and wife Becky, Todd Kimbrough, Ellen Kimbrough Alexandrakis and her husband Giorgos; six great- grandchildren, three nephews, and two nieces and one very special niece, Nelda Sturdivant, and her best friend Ruby Starks.
