Ermine Hall Hudspeth Gladewater " Services for Ermine Hall Hudspeth, 86, of Gladewater, will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011, at 11 A.M. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with Reverend B.F. Risinger and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Private family burial will be at Gladewater Memorial Park with Reverend Bailey Harris officiating. Born on September 12, 1924, in Pine Hill, Texas, to Lawrence "Pete" and Flora Hall, she entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 3, 2011. A graduate of Kilgore High School, she received her Bachelor of Music degree from North Texas State College, now University of North Texas, and later she received her Master of Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University. Her teaching career began at Polytechnic High School and Pascal High School in Ft. Worth. She continued her teaching at Rhinehart Elementary School in Dallas and Lovenberg Junior High School in Galveston. For many years she taught at Gay Avenue, Broadway Elementary, and Weldon Middle School in Gladewater. After teaching for 27 years, she retired in 1986 from the Gladewater Independent School District. A charter member and historian of the Texas Shakespeare Festival Guild, she was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Shakespeare Festival Guild, a member of the Sixth District Texas Federation of Music Chapter, and a member of the Kilgore Community Concert Association. She, in addition, was a life member of Mu Phi Epsilon music fraternity, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas State Teachers Association, and the Gladewater Music Club. She was an active member of the Gladewater First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kim Hudspeth of Henderson; daughter, Karen Hudspeth Lindsey of Falls Church, Virginia; 6 grandchildren, Kathryne Lindsey, Christopher Lindsey, Joshua Hudspeth, Abigail Hudspeth, Morgan Hudspeth, and Elizabeth Hudspeth; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Ellen Hall and Bobby Wilks of Henderson; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ray Hudspeth. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Texas Shakespeare Festival, P.O. Box 2788, Kilgore, Texas 75663; the First Baptist Church, P.O. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
