Enola Jean Harguess

Enola Jean Harguess (Olson) of Gilmer, Texas was born August 9, 1943 in Prescott, Wisconsin and died August 5, 2021 at Good Shepherd hospital in Longview, Texas. She was 77 years old.
Enola was a retired nurse taking care of many people over the years and was also actively involved at her church. She enjoyed dancing, boating, and traveling with her late husband, baking, sewing, quilting, canning, farm life, old barns, Scottie dogs, and southwestern and Indian art. She was always so thoughtful taking the time to make and send goodie boxes to friends and family through the holidays. Her thoughtfulness, quick wit, and infectious smile will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Harguess, her father Otto Olson, and step son, Milton Harguess. She is survived by her mother Jeanette Marion Olson of Gilmer, Texas, her brother James Otto Olson of Anchorage, Alaska, four step-children Nilda, Sara, Milton, Lester Jr., and Karl including Wanda Harguess, widow of the late Milton Harguess, her nephew James and his wife Maria Bernardo, nephews Otto and Jeremiah Olson, and niece Sa Olson Ross and her husband Keith.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Corley Funeral Home in Gilmer. A memorial service will be performed on September 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM and Enola will be buried next to her husband Lester Harguess at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Big Sandy, Texas.
