Elwin H. Threadgill

Graveside service for Mr. Elwin H. Threadgill, 71, of Overton, TX will be held 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Concord Cemetery in Upshur County with Jimmy Threadgill officiating.
Mr. Threadgill passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 in Overton, Texas. Elwin was born to Henry and Novella Tutor Threadgill on February 26, 1948 in Gilmer, Texas. Mr. Threadgill was a self-employed mechanic and of the Baptist faith.
Elwin is survived by his son, Jody Threadgill; daughters, Karen Bonds and husband, Keith, Sheri Allen and husband, John, Mendy Threadgill, and Ashley Threadgill; brother, Jimmy Threadgill, sister, Barbara Schmick; 3 grandchildren, Dayton Threadgill, Deja Threadgill, and Allison Dominguez; and 1 great grandchild, Adalyn Dominquez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Elwin “Pepper” Threadgill, Jr.; and brothers, Johnny and Alan Threadgill.
Honorary Pallbearers will be John Allen, Keith Bonds, Todd Ramsey, Josh Threadgill, Dayton Threadgill, $tubs Schmick, and Larry Tefteller.
Following the service there will be a lunch served at the First United Methodist Church in Gilmer 105 N. Montgomery St, Gilmer, TX 75644, all are invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church as a love offering to Elwin’s caregivers at the Overton Health Care Center.
