Elva Jeanette Dunn

Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Jeanette Dunn, 79, of Big Sandy will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January, 25, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Perry Cowan officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Dunn passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 in Big Sandy. Elva Jeanette Dunn was born on June 19, 1935, in Comanche, Texas to Ruben C. Koerner and Elva D. Polk Koerner. On September 15, 1956, she married Adrain W. Dunn in San Antonio, Texas and they lived in the Big Sandy area for 33 years. Mrs. Dunn was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Christ. She enjoyed bowling, TV, Nintendo Games, crossword puzzles and she never gave up on the Dallas Cowboys. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons, Terry and Carrey Dunn; two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Joe Rinehart of Chandler, Cindy and Scott Kennedy of Yantis, Lisa Dunn of Big Sandy; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Grady Duncan of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Kenneth Harris, Jennifer Saa and husband, Phil, Joshua Harris and wife, Casey, Ashley Gour and his wife, Becca, Jacob Sims, Lacey Sims, Barbara Kennedy, Amber Barrington and Jeff Ward; also eleven great grandchildren, Hayden Gour, Bridget Gour, Austin Cooper, Aubrey Harris, Andrew Harris, Evelyn Harris, Caroline Sandlin, Marcus Saa, Ki Saa, Lillian Harris and Karley Harris. Pallbearers for the service will be Joshua Harris, Kenneth Harris, Jacob Sims, Jeff Ward, Joe Rinehart, Scott Kennedy and Ashley Gour. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2014 at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.
