Ella Burk Smith

Services for Ella Burk Smith, 89, of Lindale, will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Smith passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Lindale.
Ella was born November 6, 1929, in Van Nuys, CA, to Francis Leo and Ora Lee Fullen Burk. She worked many years as a CNA, and Food Service Operator. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, J. D. and Robert Laastad.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Connie Laastad, Stephen and Joyce Laastad, Bill and Lillian Matthews; daughters and son-in-law, Twyla Laastad and Tony Guzzo, Susan Morse, Laura Ricord; daughter-in-law, Robin Laastad; grandchildren, Charlene, Christina, Eric, Donald, Sherry, Amanda, Randy, Regina, Rochelle, Samson, Simon, Micheal, Milissa, Maranda, Damon, Dana, Jennifer, Chairity, Michelle, Jason, Jeremy, Rachael, Jay and Crystal; 53 great grandchildren; and 23 great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, prior to the service.
