Edward Grimes

Funeral services for Mr. Edward Grimes who was 87, of Hawkins, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins with Reverend Keith Hague officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkins City Cemetery.

Mr. Grimes passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Hawkins and was born on April 11, 1929 in Tussy, Oklahoma to Albert and Fannie Grimes. He served in the United States Navy and in 1988 retired from Ford Motor Company in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Grimes is survived by his daughter, Judy & Charles Mason; sister, Elizabeth Ruick; grandchildren, Stacy Burroughs and husband Matt, Shelly Maberry and Eddie Mason; great grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Christian and Emery and two great-great grandchildren, Ryder and Madelyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Fannie Grimes and his wife, Pauline Grimes who passed away in 1996.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
