Edward Glen Smith

Edward Smith, 72, passed away on December 26, 2021, in Tyler, TX. He was born on September 15, 1949 to the late Clarence Edward and Anita Joyce Smallwood Smith.

Edward worked as a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed being at his favorite watering hole, Traditions, spending time with his friends.

Edward is survived by his children, Nikki and her husband Richard Smith, Lori and her husband Rod Latham, Shane and his wife Brittney Palmer and Bobette Krall, his brothers Ricky and Ronny and his sister Brenda White; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents and the loving mothers of his children Sue Higginbotham Smith and Betty Holcomb Smith.


A memorial service for Edward will be held on Thursday, December 30 with more details to follow.
