Edward Conard

Funeral services for Edward Conard, 82, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Mark Huffhines officiating. Interment will follow at Glade Creek Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Conard passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Gilmer and was born on June 30, 1934 in Dyer, Arkansas to John and Marie Conard. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Church of Power. Mr. Conard married Margaret Collett Conard on June 6, 1987 in Collinsville, Texas. He enjoyed fishing but he loved his family more than anything else. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Margaret Conard of Gilmer; son, Michael Driver of Lewisville; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Brown and Jay of Horseshoe Bay; brothers, Fred Conard and wife, Elaine of Lewisville, Jerry Conard and wife Susie, John Conard and wife, Martha of Little Elm; sister, Peggy Conard of Lewisville; grandchildren, James Burch, Casey Collett, Randall Burch, Zachary Burch, Shelby Burch, Madison Burch, and great grandchildren, Ryan Scoggins, Jessica Pybas, Chad Brown, Weston Lee Cain, and Rhys Westin Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Conard; son, Billy Burch; and sister, Claudine Bedwell. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2016 one hour prior to the service at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
