Edith "Marie" Morrene Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Morrene “Marie” Davis, 86, of Seven Points, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas with Pastor Bob Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Matinburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Fort Worth and she was born on September 25, 1930 in Pine, Texas to Walter Warren Keel and Mattie Lorene Moss Keel. Mrs. Davis owned 3 beauty salons in Dallas, Texas before her retirement after 37 years.

She is survived by her son, Gary Davis of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Barbara Janell Wynne of Dallas, Texas; brother, Travis Leon Keel of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Edgar Earl Wynne III, Steven Scott Wynne, George Garnett Wynne III, Melissa Michelle Chewning, Edith Elayne McCurdy, Stephanni Suzanne Taylor, Michael Martin Wynne and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lorene Keel; husband, Wayne E. Davis; brother, James Walter Keel; sister, Melba Faye Woods and great grandchild, Jordan Elizabeth Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from noon until the time of the service at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
