Funeral services for Mr. Earl Dean Fielden, 89, of Winnsboro, Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M., March 25, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Bro. Marion Palmer officiating. Interment will be held at Willow Oak Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas.
Mr. Fielden passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Gilmer and was born on March 28, 1927 in Dallas, Texas to John and Ollie Pearl Fielden. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. After Mr. Fielden’s time in the service he worked 23 years for Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas. When he retired in 1980 he moved to the Gilmer area and later became a member of the Lions Club and First Baptist Church of Gilmer.
Mr. Fielden is survived by his daughter, Debi Fielden of Dallas, Texas; step children, John and Susana Pierce of Winnsboro, Texas, Cindy and Patrick Allen of Prosper, Texas and Shari and Dennis Redden of Aurora, Colorado; sister, Wynell Andrus of Houston, Texas; grandson, Chris Pierce and wife Dawn and Garrett Allen; great granddaughter, Evelyn Pierce, all of Nacogdoches, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fredna Inman Fielden, his mother, Ollie Pearl Whitfield and his father, John Fielden.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
