GILMER – Funeral service for Doyce Loftis, 90, of Gilmer will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Gilmer with Larry W. Osborne and Ken Loyd officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Loftis passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Loftis was born on November 23, 1925, in Pittsburg, to George Thomas and Lillian Henderson Loftis. He was a retired oil field supervisor, a member of the Bethesda Masonic Lodge AF & AM #142, a Marine veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gilmer.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Loftis; sons, Dois Loftis, Jr and wife, Connie, Tom Loftis and Billy Rex Gibbons; daughters, Debbie Fenlaw and husband, Joe Bill, Carol Ogea and husband, Jerry, Becky Aleshire and husband, Jim and Sue Humphreys and husband, Mike; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Family request in place of flowers, memorials be made to the Lodge or Charity of your choice.
