Dorothy "Dot" Smith

Graveside service for Dorothy "Dot" Smith, 86, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Morris Cemetery in Upshur County with Dr. Ray Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the Morris Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mrs. Smith passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 in Longview. Mrs. Smith was born May 11, 1929 in Gilmer, TX, to James Lloyd and Levia Machen Craig. She was a homemaker, lifetime resident of Upshur County and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son, Jimmie Smith and wife, Margie of Gilmer; daughter, Debbie Smith; sister, Betty Morgan of St. Stephens, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandon Smith and Kelli Moore and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Kendall Moore and Michelle Fails. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smith in 1986; parents; brothers, Duran "D.V." Craig and Douglas Craig. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
