Doris Marie Tucker Hefner

Services for Doris Marie Tucker Hefner, 90, of Gilmer, will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018, with Reverend Clay Potter and Darrell Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mrs. Hefner passed away on Wednesday, December 26, in Gilmer.
Doris was born January 27, 1928, in McCamey, TX, to Edward E. and Lucille M. Tucker. She Graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1945, and worked for many years as a secretary for the Texas State Board of Nursing. Her other interests included being a Real Estate Agent, a Notary, a great cook, and loved her family.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Ray Tucker; and a great granddaughter, Kennedy Nicole Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Hefner; children, Gaye Searight, Gloria Cook, and husband, Larry, Richard Nolan, and wife, Betty, Carol Davis, and husband, Darrell; brothers, Leonard Tucker, Jackie Lee Tucker; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 28, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
