Doris Marie Lindsey

DIANA: Services for Doris Marie Lindsey, 73, of Diana will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home, with Reverend Wayne Norvell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will follow at Mattox Cemetery. She passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at her residence.

Doris was born June 21, 1944 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Robert and Allie Wallace. She worked as a letter carrier and retired after 32 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Doris loved horses and she and her husband Buddy raised and raced thoroughbreds for many years.

Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Tina and Ron Nobles, son-in-law: Jeff Hill, granddaughter: Lauren Kerley and husband Jimmy, grandsons: Andrew Nobles and Jacob Nobles, great-grandson: Kaiven Nobles, stepson: Michael Lindsey and wife Jane and step-grandson: Brandon Lindsey, along with many friends that will miss her greatly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Buddy Lindsey and daughter Becky Hill.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, 10-11 a.m., at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home prior to the service.
