Donna Sue Young was born on June 27, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, to Duward B. and Margaret Faye Albright. She peacefully departed this life on March 28, 2025, in Gilmer, Texas.

She spent 59 wonderful years with her husband, Anson Young. They enjoyed an abundant life together, building a family, two businesses and then working alongside each other in retirement at the family farm.

Donna was a remarkable individual whose presence brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her passion for gardening brought beauty to her surroundings and joy to her heart. She enjoyed traveling and exploring the countryside. It enriched her experiences and allowed her to create lasting memories with her cherished family.

Donna had a deep love for animals and pets, showcasing her compassionate nature. Her interest in the well-being of God’s creatures great and small was evident throughout her lifetime and resonated with everyone around her. Donna leaves behind a legacy characterized by her kindness, passions, and the memories she created with those around her. Her impact on her family, friends, and community will be forever cherished. She will be profoundly missed by those who had the privilege of sharing in her life.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Duward B. and Margaret Faye Albright; brother, Bill Albright; and a son-in-law, Matt Macon.

Survivors include: her husband, Anson Young; daughter, Cindy Young Macon; son Aaron Young and wife, Donna; brothers, Duward "Buddy" Albright and Harold "Opie" Albright; sisters, Redenna Corley and husband, Blair, Sheila Cloonen, Fay McSloy and husband, Joe; five grandchildren: Shawn, Gillian, Lauren, Shelby, and Seth; and seven great grandchildren Jovanni, Mia, Isaac, Jaylon, Melanie, Kinslee and Jameson.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a coming date.
