Donald Earl Van Houten

Donald Earl Van Houten, age 61, of Gladewater, passed away on October 11, 2023, in Gladewater. He was born on October 4, 1962, in Magnolia, Arkansas to Walter and Barbara Van Houten.

Donald was a 1981 graduate of Gladewater High School. After school, he soon followed in the footsteps of his father and his grandfather, working as a machinist for many years. In his earlier years, when he wasn’t working, he would teach country western dancing. He had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Donald is survived by a son, Brian Van Houten of Gladewater; daughter, Holly Van Houten of Houston; sister, Trecia Cail and husband Neil of Frisco; aunt, Yvonne Lee of Gladewater; uncles, Roy T. Van Houten of Gladewater and Allen Pullin of Vidor.

Memorial services for Donald will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10AM at the Clarksville City Baptist Church.
