Donald Ray Cowley

Donald Ray Cowley, age 55, passed away on January 4, 2022 at his home in Big Sandy. Don was born on July 9, 1966 in Dallas, Texas, to Kent and Sandra Cowley. He was a 1984 graduate of Big Sandy High School. Don had 4 children, Jeffrey Cowley, Kristen Jones, Matthew Cowley, and Jered Cowley, and he is survived by them. He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Cowley, and sisters Allison Gilbert and Carol Bostian and their families. He is preceded in death by his father, Kent Cowley.

Don was a hard worker his entire life. He worked in many fields including construction, drilling, manufacturing, auto repair and others. He was very smart and ingenious like his father. He was also witty, kind and compassionate. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, tinkering with vehicles of all kinds and hanging out alone or with friends from all over. Don was most at home in the company of his best friend, his mom.

Don leaves behind numerous friends, extended family, and friends who became family. He will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service will be held at the home of Sandra Cowley at a later date.
