Graveside service for Mr. Donald R. Smith, 75, of Big Sandy, TX will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Enon Cemetery with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Smith passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in Tyler.

He was born January 5, 1944, in Dallas, TX to Thurman W. Smith and Bessie Rachel Pool Smith. Donald served in the U. S. Army, was a self-employed rancher and of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Bobby Ray Smith; daughter, Donna Smith; brothers, Larry and Jerry Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
