Donald Noel Knight

Celebration of Life services for Donald Noel Knight, 84, of Gladewater, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday. June 29, 2019 at the Olivia Hillburn community Center in Kilgore, Texas. Mr. Knight passed away at his residence in Gladewater on Monday, June 17, 2019.

Don was born February 21, 1935 in Russell County, Kansas to the late Noel Knight and Virginia Webster Knight. He was the owner and operator for Knight Casing and Pulling for over 30 years. Don was known to drive his Mule down the road to have coffee and visit with his neighbors. He enjoyed Western books and movies, old country music, playing Poker and Dominoes with his friends and reminiscing over stories and times in his life. Don was a very personable man, he never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with just about anyone he came across.

Don is survived by sons Michael “Mick’ Knight, Mark Knight; grandchildren Michael McFadin, Tiffany Bonham; great grandchildren Aly Bird, Chloe Bonham, Hayley Bonham; sister Shirley Knight as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends he leaves behind.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Rose Smallwood Knight, daughters Dawn Denise Stembridge, Jackie McFadin Bradshaw, sister Gloria Crites and parents Noel and Virginia Knight.
