Donald Lee Mathews, Sr

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Lee Mathews Sr. on December 28, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on December 16, 1942, Mr. Mathews was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who called Gladewater, Texas, his home. He was known by all as a hardworking selfless man.

He is survived by his cherished spouse, Mary Mathews; his daughter, Laura Lee Langford; grandchildren, Taylor Lee Langford, Hollie Shenai Van Deman and Chris Langford. He ,also, 2 great grandchildren who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Donald was known for his warmth and friendly demeanor, always ready with a smile and a kind word to share with those around him.

Private graveside services were held in Hopewell Cemetery in the Latch Community.

Rest in peace, Donald. You will be missed more than words can say.
