Donald Jay Small, Jr.

Donald Jay Small Jr., 77 years old of Gilmer, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. Mr. Small was born on November 26, 1943 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania to the late Donald Jay Small, Sr. and Perry Jane Pittman. Don worked for Farm Bureau for twenty-five years and also Economy Auto Supply for twenty years.

Left to cherish Don’s memory are his wife Joan Oldham Small; his daughter Cindy Bishop of Gatesville; his son Billy Bishop and wife Kerry of College Station; grandchildren Briana Rodano and husband Eric, Kevin Bishop, Jason Bishop, Samantha Beamon, Adam Rodano, and Zoe Rodano; and sister Vicky Lowery and nephews Craig and Clay Lowery.

A memorial service for Mr. Small will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Rev. Mike Kessler officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
A private interment will be held at a later date in Waco Memorial Gardens, Waco, Tx.
