Services for Donald Harold "Jake" White, 79, of Longview will be 3:00 P.M, Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David English and Reverend Joe McGraw officiating and burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. White passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011 in Longview. Mr. White was born on June 20, 1931, in Big Sandy, Texas, to Archie Houston White and Clara Price White. He graduated from Big Sandy High School and served in the U. S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and the Military Police from 1957 to 1960. Mr. White was a Commercial Bus Driver for Tri -City Charter until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the First Baptist Church of Longview. **Mr. White is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Leta White of Longview; sisters and brother-in-law, Mozelle and Peyton Terry of Viola, Tenn, Lula Mae Young of Dallas; grandson, David White; numerous nieces and nephews. **He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Billy Joe White, James White and Odell White; sisters, Lorine Young and Hazel Green. Pallbearers are David Hutchins, David White, Bryan Young, Clint Terry, Wayne Efurd and William Byrd. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
