Memorial services for Donald Gene Shields, 59, of Gilmer will be held at Croley Funeral Home Chapel on September 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Richard Pruitt officiating. Donnie passed on Saturday, September 20th in Gilmer. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Donnie was born in Houston, Texas to Wallace and Juanita Shields on October 11, 1954. Mr. Shields is survived by his daughter and her fianc" Gigi Shields and William Tillman with grandchildren Dallis and Dalton of Gilmer, Texas; brothers Larry, Ricky, Dougie, Ronnie, Terry, Andy, Robert, and Bobo; sisters: Debbie, Pammie, Janet, Brenda, Tina, Patty and Sharon; in addition to 98 plus, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Wallace Laughlin Shields Sr. and Juanita Maxine Evans Shields and two brothers Skeeter and Charlie.
