Donald "Don" Lee Marsh

Donald "Don" Lee Marsh passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 58, in Hawkins, Texas. He was born on January 29, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. 

He grew up with a warm spirit and a dedication to helping others, which later guided him to a career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Caraday Nursing Home, where he was loved by his patients and coworkers alike.

In addition to his nursing career, Don served his country honorably in the Army where he was an Army Ranger and participated in Operation Desert Shield. His military service was a testament to his courage and dedication, characteristics that he carried through all aspects of his life.

Beyond his professional and military endeavors, Don was an avid camper and fisherman, with a particular enthusiasm for visiting national and state parks.

Don is survived by his wife, Melissa (Bullard) Marsh; grandmother, Darrell Skirlock; 2 sisters, Carrie Ellison and Brandi Johnson; aunt, Jeannie Meares and husband Jerry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Skirlock and son, Brodi Marsh.

Visitation for Donald Lee Marsh will be held at First United Methodist Church in Hawkins on February 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The memorial service will follow, starting at 2:00 PM.
