Dennis Paul Hiltz

Celebration of Life services for Dennis Paul Hiltz, 63, of Union Grove will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Reverend Robert Carter officiating. Mr. Hiltz passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, in Longview.

Dennis enjoyed the sounds of all types of music and spent many years playing drums with friends of various bands in the surrounding area. He was a gun enthusiast and spent time shooting guns competitively.

Dennis was a loving father to his children and a wonderful grandfather to his nine grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.

He is survived by his son, Clint Hiltz (Amanda Lynne); daughters Shannon Dykes (Earl Dykes), and April Simmons; brother Doug Stanfill (Lynn Stanfill); his grandchildren, Haylee Rice, Pehyton Dangerfield, Cadence Hiltz, Caleigh Hiltz, Kaylee Kibler, Taylor Dykes, Matthew Dykes, Rehyse Shamburger, and Kale Caffey. His is also survived by his wife, Vickie Boyd and step daughter Rikki Johnson.
