Dena "Bob" Mize

Funeral services for Dena "Bob" Mize, 99, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins with Reverend Fred Morrow officiating. Interment will be in the Hawkins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Mize passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 in a Houston hospice. Mrs. Mize was born August 22, 1913 in East Point, Texas to Quimsy and Myra Bradshaw Niell. She was a retired hairdresser, member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughters, Jerry Moore of Woodland, TX, Mary Averkiades of Spring, TX, and Kay Mize of Spring, TX; sister, Gwendolyn Green of Tyler; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Conley Mize in 1983; sons, Tony Mize, Joe Mize and Bob Mize. Pallbearers will be her grandson and nephews. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins.
