Deloris Jefferies

Services for Deloris Jefferies, 95, of Bedford, Texas will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at Friendship Baptist Church in Gladewater with Dr. David Schumacher officiating. Mrs. Jefferies passed away January 30, 2018.

Mrs. Jefferies was born January 18, 1923 in Lufkin, Texas to the late William Johnson and Bessie Deloris Neuman. She married George Edward Jefferies on September 7, 1944 in Dallas, Texas. They shared 69 wonderful years together before his passing in 2014. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all the adoring family and friends she leaves behind.

Deloris worked for Republic Bank as a keypunch operator for many years. She loved to spend her spare time playing bingo. She also loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters Linda Plumlee and husband Roy of Terrell, Texas, Bonnie Graham and husband Wayne of Euless, Texas; grandchildren Rebecca Schumacher and husband David, Rip Plumlee and wife Susan, Christina Berryhill; six great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.

Deloris is preceded in death by her parents and her husband George Edward Jefferies two brothers and three sisters.
